Lake Tahoe and its surrounding area are considered part of the United States Forest Service.

In August of 2012, some of the Young Men went on a trip to Lake Tahoe. They went to Kings Beach, on the north shore of Lake Tahoe and hung around at the beach. They also went to Sand Harbor on the Nevada side, rented a boat, and took it out on the lake.

In February of 2016, Travis Neal stopped in Sand Harbor on his way home from his road trip to Utah and Idaho. He walked around and saw where he and some of the Young Men went to back in 2012.
